Workshop Sessions Costs and Fees
OSTEOLOGY WORKSHOP: June 8 - July 5, 2014 (max. 18 students)
US$1775 for the full 4 week session
The fee is for a full four week session. It includes a $385 non refundable registration fees. Housing is provided in a small hotel in Odorheiu Secuiesc within walking distance from the museum and the laboratory. The fee also includes teaching material, support and documentation (a lab manual will be provided upon your arrival), laboratory material (except lab coats), lectures (approx. 25h/session), access to the study collection, security clearance, museum registration. Usually, we expect the entire project fee to be paid in full within 21 days after being accepted to the program. No refund will be considered after March 16, 2014.
The registration cost does not include the trip to and from Romania. If you arrive at the pre-established times, someone will wait for you at the train station. Participants must arrange their own travel and health insurance. Participants are responsible for their own food.
No entry visa is generally required for Romania for up to 12 weeks for EU, US and Canadian citizens. It is always a good idea to check with the Romanian Consulate.
Students and volunteers from the Osteology Workshop or the Bioarchaeology of Children Workshop who want to expand their experience to the field dimension of the program and excavate the human remains we study, can register to the Medieval Funerary Excavation immediately following or preceding the respective sessions.

For the excavtion portion of the bioarchaeology workshop, transportation to and from the site is included, as well as all excavating gear. The fee also includes teaching material, support and documentation (a lab manual will be provided upon your arrival), laboratory material (except lab coats), lectures (approx. 40h/session), access to the study collection, security clearance, museum registration. Usually, we expect the entire project fee to be paid in full within 21 days after being accepted to the program. No refund will be considered after March 16, 2014.
