The Funerary Excavation Project is designed primarily for students and volunteers who are involved with the Osteology or the Bioarchaeology of Children Workshops as an opportunity to acquire field experience excavating archaeological human remains. However, students and volunteers interested only in expanding their funerary field excavation skills are welcome to apply for one or two sessions of the project (attendence to either Workshop is NOT required to apply to the Funerary Excavation).
